We are looking for a skilled physical therapy technician to join our team at Superior Physical Therapy. In this role, you will be tasked with helping our physical therapists and physical therapist assistants provide better care to their patients. Some responsibilities include: helping patients move around the facility, sanitizing treatment areas, and supporting the physical therapist while they guide patients through exercises.
Some of your tasks will also be administrative in nature. For example, you may be asked to help patients fill out insurance forms. You may also be asked to answer phone calls, schedule new appointments, and track the progress of our patients in their files.
To do well in this role, you will need to have some basic familiarity with what a physical therapist does. You should also be physically capable of lifting and moving patients who aren’t able to do so themselves. Finally, you should also have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Physical Therapy Technician Responsibilities:
- Guide patients through exercises that the physical therapist has prescribed
- Observe patients during treatment and keep track of their progress in their files
- Help patients who are unable to do so themselves move around the facility
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments and assist receptionist as needed
- Help patients complete paperwork
- Help us order new supplies and maintain our inventory
Physical Therapy Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from an accredited physical therapy technician program is preferred
- Previous experience in physical therapy is preferred
- Basic technological proficiency
- Physical ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Bilingual or Spanish-speaking preferred
